About

Welcome! I’m Marissa, and my side-kick is Pumpkin (she’s a cat). We started to travel together in my Airstream Basecamp in August 2022.

I grew up in a small town called Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. If you’ve been there, it’s only because you have family in the area. After college I moved to Virginia Beach, where I met Pumpkin and we’ve been inseparable since. Sometime in the middle of COVID, I went on a life changing road trip that ultimately led me to where I am now – a full time traveler. To read more about how and why I got started, click here!

My day job is for a remote health and wellness company, which I absolutely adore. The people are amazing and the work is meaningful. As a side note, if you’re interested in diving into the world of alternative medicine and at home lab testing – check out Equi.Life. I love talking about what we do and how we help people TRULY get well.

Outside of work and travel, I love hiking, lifting weights, painting, reading, yoga, learning, scuba diving, rock climbing and so many other things!

How we travel

I have a 2021 Airstream Basecamp 16x and tow with a manual 2017 Toyota Tacoma. Sometimes I wish I went the van route simply because camping in certain places is easier – you can literally park anywhere. However, I’ve taken my truck down some roads that most vans could not 🙂

Why I blog?

There’s a few reasons I decided to go full send on a travel blog, some very personal.

  1. Traveling is hands down the best decision I’ve made, and I want others to see what’s possible and experience as much as they can. That’s what life is all about!
  2. I find beauty everywhere I go, and I enjoy sharing that beauty with other people. Instagram is my main creative outlet where I share mostly reels and some photos – feel free to follow me there 🙂
  3. It’s a way for me to share my voice when most of my life I’ve been silent in many ways. ‘Feeling seen’ is uncomfortable for me, and this is a way to help me grow and get past that.
  4. I want to make additional income to fund my next phase in life – which eventually includes purchasing land and homesteading.

Where I travel

Below is a listing of the different states and National Parks I’ve been to. Other than what’s shown, I’ve been to a few places in Mexico, some Caribbean Islands, Belize, British Columbia and the Yukon.
